the times review
by Ian Finlayson
Manzoor, a sharp operator in a generation hip to the nuances of multicultural multimedia, gives us a modern life - his own, mediated by television, music and awareness of his ethnicity as a Pakistani Muslim in Britain. His journey since the early 1970s from Lahore via Luton to Ladbroke Grove is marked not by mileage but in distance from the attitudes of his father, who died too young to know of his son’s success. In many ways, his is a model life for our times.
