question of the week

I did an hour long interiew on the BBC Asian Network this evening. It was a great interview and I got the chance to play some of my favourite songs. The presenter had warned me beforehand that he had not yet read the book and thats fine as I realise that its not easy to have the time to read all the books of everyone that may be interviewed. I assumed someone would have done the basic research in terms of ensuring which questions to ask. There are of course dangers in not doing that research. As you probably will know my book is about growing up during the 80s and on the back of the book the blurb refers to how the book is a salute of thanks to my father who died too soon to see his son do him proud. All of which made it even more surprising when the Asian Network interviewer asked me ‘Now Sarfraz in the book you talk very honestly about growing up and about your father.. what does he make of the book and how are things with you now?’
