could it be Magic?
October 2nd. Thats the date for the new album from Bruce Springseen and the E Street Band. its called Magic and according to Jon Landau its ‘a high energy rock CD. It’s light on its feet, incredibly well played by Bruce and the members of the E Street Band, and, as always, has plenty to say.’ Its got 11 tracks: 1. Radio Nowhere 2. You’ll Be Comin’ Down 3. Livin’ in the Future 4. Your Own Worst Enemy 5 . Gypsy Biker 6. Girls in Their Summer Clothes 7. I’ll Work for Your Love 8. Magic 9. Last to Die 10. Long Walk Home 11. Devil’s Arcade.
obviously too early to say anything too definitive but it sounds like this is going to be a much more commercial sounding album than the last few records. Nothing wrong with that but I hope Landau is on the money when he says it has something to say. Personally I much prefer Springsteen when he is being intelligent and thoughtful than simply entertaining. i have heard long walk home and it is superb so if the rest of the album is up to that standard another classic might well be on the cards.
